I think you mean 'proposes' don't you? That's when a person asks someone to marry them? It varies so much, so the best way might be to ask aother question, such as ' Married people. How long were you datingbefore one of you proposed marriage? Change al the answers into the same units (weeks, months or whatever) then divide the result by the number of people who answered your question, That will give you an average. The more people who answer, the more accurate your average will be. It ay be worth considering asking only people from your own country, as cultural differences in other countries could make a ifference to the results (it may be traditional in some places to have a longer, or shorter courtship, for example) or perhaps you could ask which country people who answer come from (ask in the question for them to tell you) Then you could obtain some great information about differences in different countries.

There is no real time frame. It is a very individual thing. Sometimes it happens in weeks and it sometimes takes years. If you want to pick a time frame that seems reasonable, a year or two should do it. Best of luck with your project.

you should definitley go with 32 months. Anything before that means he just wants to get in her bloomers. Anything after that means he's never going to commit and is just out for a good time with the girl wearing bloomers. Go with that. Its a fact.

You should propose when you love, respect and genuinely care for someone after you have gotten to know them. It isn't important how long you wait.
