My husband says i am wrong that the 9:17 pm means it came in early i say it is because it is a hour later in Atalant and due to time zone. Can you help solve the mystery?

It has to do with the difference in time zones. You'd be arriving in New Orleans at 9:17pm CST (Atlanta's time zone is EST).

The difference is in the time zones. If you leave Atlanta at 9:45 PM, its 8:45 PM in New Orleans, so the flight would arrive in New Orleans at 9:17 PM.

I agree with the first person's answer. The flight times listed on your ticket/itinerary take into account the time zone changes. So you'd arrive in New Orleans >>10:17pm (eastern time in Atlanta) but 9:17pm (central time-New Orleans).

Hope that helps!

Nope. Unless you purchased the flights through the cruise line. If you arranged the flights through the cruise line, you will be fine. Unless the flight is late. A cruise that departs at 4:00 p.m., all aboard will be 3:00 p.m. and the doors will be closed at that time. Most people will be on by 2:00 p.m., but 3:00 p.m.is the absolute latest you will be allowed to board. I'd like to see anyone get off a plane in Miami, go down to baggage, get your bags, get over to the cruise terminal and on the ship in 44 minutes. It's not going to happen. Oh and you're assuming everything is going to be on time? Why would you schedule such a late arrival into Miami?

You are correct. New Orleans (Central Time) is an hour behind Altanta (Eastern Time) so when you're landing in NOLA at 9:17pm it's actually 10:17pm in Georgia.

Yea, its definitley not a far flight from point A to B. They are in deferent time zones so thats why it seems like such a short flight.
