Ha! I have lived in this neighbourhood all my life. Pretty unusual for this day and age, so have most of the other families up and down our one side street (26 families). So I grew up with all these kids around me, and we were all good friends. Most of the guys within 5 years of me were my playmates from the time I crawled.
My parents threw me a "Sweet Sixteen" party, even though I didn't want one. All the families on the street were invited for barbeque and swimming and just having fun. It was great. But because I knew all these guys as my "brothers" there wasn't any romantic, or even quasi-romantic stuff going on. We danced, we played, we had fun.
The night before my 17th birthday, it just hit me like a ton of bricks that "sweet sixteen, and never been kissed" business STILL applied to me, and I was about to be 17! I started to cry. Being the tough little tomboy I always have been, I was doing this as quietly as possible down behind the garage, because I didn't want my family to hear me. Except the guy that lives next door DID hear me. We have been friends all of my life (even though he's a couple of years older than me). And it wasn't long before he had the whole story out of me. He told me not to worry about it. He would take care of everything, and to be prepared to sneak out of the house before midnight.
Well, I'm thinking that he's going to take pity on me and treat me to my first kiss before I turn 17, and I was really nervous about it. I mean, over the years, I've fantacized about a lot of my guy friends, but no one more than him. I guess you could call him my first crush.
At 11:45 p.m. I hear the light rattling of fine gravel against my window, and look out and there he is on the lawn below me. I have a very convenient tree that I have used to climb up and down from my room with (unbeknownst to my parents), so I took that route down, and we snuck quietly away from the house.
Until we got to the front of his house. There, standing along the sidewalk like a phalanx of soldiers, were all of my neighbourhood "brothers". Someone started a stereo playing softly, and it was "Sixteen Candles".
Then, beginning with my crush, all 22 boys passed me down the line, giving me a kiss before gently moving me on my way. Some were gentle. Some were sensuous. One of my brothers ended up having his toes stomped on. But by the end I was laughing, and the depression I had been feeling was forgotten.
Some of the parents realized what was happening long before I reached the end of that line, including my own. It was a bit embarrassing, but still very sweet.
So you see, if it weren't for the intervention of my "brothers" I, too, would have been 17 years old and unkissed. It's not at all abnormal.

I hadn't been kissed, hadn't even had a date, when I was 19. That's because I was busy working my way through college to get away from my dysfunctional family.
After I got out of college and got my first real job, I started dating. I met the man who became my husband, and we've been married 29 years now.
Don't worry about what's "normal." Live your own life and take your time to get to know yourself and what you want from life. 17 is still young. Enjoy yourself, give yourself time, be a person who is comfortable inside your own skin. That's more important than worrying about whether your timetable is the same as other peoples'.

No such thing.
It is normal for a person to kiss for the first time when they feel comfortable doing so.
Don't feel like there is something wrong with you or anything just because you aren't a little harlet.
No need to rush at all. Life is full of kisses.

This may or may not be normal. It depends on your particular personality and choice of lifestyle. Every individual will receive their first (in a hopefully special encounter) at various times through their life. A kiss is just a kiss, but that first one can be quite a memorable one. Just wait your turn.

What is normal anyway? There is nothing wrong with not being kissed at 17.

It is normal! You might just not have met the person who is right for you. When many have had their first kiss when they are about 11 but they just sell out too early. I haven't have my first kiss and i can tell you, I'm not 11 any more.

It is absolutely normal. My first kiss happened to be when I was 17--I was very shy. I had many opportunities before that but was extremely shy. Everyone has their moment and it is not something that needs to happen at a certain age. :)

It's unusual, however depending upon which culture you come from it may not be all that unusual . Hey, I sure you will meet that special someone at some point very soon in your life. Don't rush it, there are probably lots of teenagers that wish they had never got intimately involved at such an early age for the obvious reasons. I think it's kind of refreshing to know that there is still at least one seventeen year old that still has their innocence in tact, especially in this age of inmorality.

No! Don't feel pressured. I'm hot and didn't have my first real kiss until I was 19!! Sophomore year in college. After my best friend got pregnant at 14, I was terrified of boys and decided to hold off. Very glad I did!
