You are not the first:
Noodles Kugel

Ingredients

1/2 lb Pasta, any kind
3 Eggs
3/4 c Sugar
1 tb Lemon juice
2 tb Shortening
3/4 c Raisins; chopped seedless
1/2 c Walnuts; chopped
1/2 c Bread crumbs

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F. Cook noodles in boiling salted water till tender but not soft. Drain well and rinse under hot water tap. Beat eggs with sugar and lemon juice. Mix well with noodles. Melt shortening and coat baking dish with it and pour into dish. Turn half of mixture into dish, cover with raisins and walnuts, then add rest of mixture and top with crumbs. Bake 45 minutes at 400F.

The only reason I would ever sugar spaghetti is if the sauce is too tart. But I only add the sugar to the sauce.....not on the plate after cooking.

Some tomatoes are just too acidic and the tartness can be eliminated with sugar. But if you add too much.....you just ruined your dinner.

yes, if you are selling spagetti people will eat alot more of it. I learned that trick on Dead Tour. sugar in food makes you eat more of it. chances are the sauce you are using already has plenty of sugar in it.

I've tried spaghetti with the sugar added to the sauce while it is being cooked...it is good. I don't know about adding sugar after it has been cooked.

no not such a spagetti fan tho more of an tortollini or ravioli or lasagna type of gal lol with grilled italian sausage or other things like chicken parm sandwiches or meat ball subs or pizza spinach and broccoli white pizza

My grandmother adds like 1/2 a cup when making a decent amount of Sauce and mixes it in.. She uses a lot of hamburger too

growing up we didn't have alot of money my mom made what she called poor mans spaghetti.

She used tomato soup and cooked spaghetti noodles we always added a spoon ot two of sugar to our bowls and it was Delicious. I still make it on occasion

I used to know a guy who immigrated from northern Italy who added sugar to his ragus. I thought it was awful.

nope, i can honestly say that i have never tried that lol. but i have been craving spaghetti alot since i am pregnant, as a matter of fact, thats what i had for dinner tonite.
