i was removing some unused programs on my computer to help clear some space but i ended up getting rid of a program i wasn't suppose to. It ended up clearing my character map, solitiare, paint, calculater, and more! I am unable to find the program to get all these things back. So if someone can post a link or something to help, it would be a great!

Reinstall Windows.

You can reinstall windows without losing all your other files, caution if using a manufactures "recovery" or "restore" cd, many of these WILL wipe out your other files and you will lose everything.

You don't have to re-install Windows to get these components back.

Start->Control Panel->Add/remove Programs-> click 'Add/remove Windows Components' (side button)

Checkmark the components you are missing. "Games" for example to get back Solitaire.... and so on.

When you're finished, click 'Next', it will ask you for your Windows XP CD. Reboot the PC after it's finished.

go to your system,s files, high light the icon that looks like a box, that says hard drive or local disc :C or D:, then click on it
it will open, and you can reload the files, and driver,s listed there, you ay also want to look in your recycle bin, and if you see something in the recycle bin, the you may click on restore. if you are lucky, try this and see if it works for you.
