Me and my ex-boyfriend broke up about a month ago. We are recently talking again and trying to work things out so that we can get back together. The reason we broke up is that he is very busy right now; he's a senior in high school, doing some college, and he's on the basketball team. So with all that he really doesn't have time for a girlfriend. Since we have been talking again, he treats me like he did when we were together, only he tells people "we're just friends", and I don't have a problem with that. He also has a really bad temper and gets mad easily and always takes it out on me. And I don't know what to do about it. When he's not mad he's so sweet, caring, and understanding and just everything you'd want a boyfriend to be. He gets mad over stupid things that are out of my control and then he's mad at the whole world and won't talk to me and treats me bad. He'll just get an attitude with me and ignore me. If I say something to him about it he tells me "I'm controling."

Also he's 18 and I'm 14 and a freshman.
I do know from a very reliable source he is a little bit bipolar and I think that's why he has such moodswings and a bad temper. But I just need to know if I should talk to him about it and try to work things out, or if I should just tell him that I can't take it anymore and that things will never work out. And does anyone know if this is some sort of mental abuse?
