This depends upon several things.
1) Airline policy. Each airline has it's own policy and these policies quite regularly change based on aircraft type/size. I would suggest you start by calling the airline customer help number and/or visit their website.
2) Domestic/International: (Not the wine, the flight.) Some internation flights will not allow alchohol to be carried on. If your airline customer help/website doesn't specify and you are flying internationally, then I suggest you pack it as if you have to 'check it' and if you do.. then your OK.. if not.. just carry it on.
3) Security: Based on the every changing security policies, it is highly likely that you will have to check it.
My suggestion: Pack it carefully and check it. I purchased a couple of cases in Napa a few years ago and the winery gave me styrofoam carries in cardboard boxes that I put the bottles in. They all arrive perfectly fine.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

No you are not allowed to bring wine on the aircraft with you. If you go to the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft.
Also be very careful if you are going to pack your wine in your checked luggage, as your suitcase gets thrown around and you don't wan the wine to break.

No. You'll want to put that in your checked luggage. Unless you bought a wine bottle under 3 oz. :)

No liquids or gels. My parents flew home from California to canada. When they passed through customs there was a gentleman who ahd bought a bottle of alcohol at duty free. He was not aloud to take it on his last leg of his flight. Pack it in your luggage if you trust it or dont' take it at all. This was after thanks giving.
