Because you have to think across time. Satan was defeated at the cross- he knows he has only a short time to live, and he is trying to take as many humans with him as he can, which is why there is so much turmoil in the world today. However, those who have accepted Christ as their savior never need to fear death, disease, war, hunger, etc. Only those who are lost fear these things, and have no hope. The saved know that this fallen life is only temporary, and that they will be resurrected into a perfect body that will be free of disease or blemish, young and beautiful, and that will last forever. Anything evil we may experience in this lifetime seems trivial by comparison.

All things in their proper order. Individually first the spirit is saved through faith. Then the soul is renewed by the word of God. Then the body is resurrected in incorruptibility.
Concerning the world, Jesus said "The Kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say "look here it is" or "there it is", for behold, the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 20,21). He said to Pilate "My Kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36)
However this age will come to and end, and the current world order will be completely overthrown and obliterated, and an era of peace will be established, but only through devastating judgments.

He saved us who believe in Him from our sin. He offers salvation to the whole world but He said most people won't accept it. He predicted the turmoil, He knew it would be this way and He said He is coming again to save us from it.

The word "world" in the bible has a different meaning than the actual world - in the hebrew and greek text. Jesus came to save the world of sinners of those who God predestined to believe in Him- God knows who will be saved and Jesus Christ died for them....You can go to blueletterbible.org to look up hebrew and greek texts for scripture...

Human beings are quite literally "hell bent" to screw it up. Human nature is very powerful, and very negative, obviously. Look at all of the South American countries that were freed by conquistadors, and the sorry losers did not have the will to keep that freedom. It is sad.

Saved who? How about those that the Father gave Him from before the foundation of the world? I think that's the "world", it doesn't mean all of mankind.
