I have had very high expectation in my life and delusions of granuder about how life should have turned out and I am not sure how to deal with certain things that have occured.

I thought if I waited until I was married, went to church, read my Bible and pray life would turn out wonderful and great, but instead things went very wrong, I was not able to have children, I went through hell finiancially in 2003-2004,
I had a series of events happen to me that at that time "shook my faith to the core" and I did not want to go to church or be a christian anymore.

I dont know where I got the idea that if I do good I get good. How do I get to the place of being a mature christian aand realize that god does not owe me a blessed thing?
How have you gotten throught the harsh times? What is your take on this?

One thing you need to remember is that - and I don't mean this to sound harsh - you have not been singled out for problems in life. Again, everyone has to face hardship in their lives - I've lost loved ones, struggled through financial hell, will never have children. It's life happening.

God does help us - He helps me daily, but He doesn't plop riches in my lap or magically make everything turn out exactly right. He does offer guidance that I sometimes choose not to hear. He pulled me out of my worst depression ever, not by picking me up and carrying me, but by guiding me to find help and make better choices.

And remember... If you do good in order to "get" good... then you've lost the true meaning of doing good.

I have come to realize LIFE IS NOT FAIR,the rain falls on everyone. Its what we learn from the events in our lives that can either make us bitter or better. We decide that,we can seek God in the events,or we can seek our own despair.I have done both, but now I simply say to God when I'm overwhelmed HERE I AM,help me through this, help me in this, sometimes the truth is I really want to run from it.But I cannot,so I go to the threshing floor and weep.Being broken is not pretty to the world, but that's when God really changes us,and can do his finest work in us.Your not alone even Jesus asked father why have you forsaken me,and he also asked if he had to drink of the cup.God takes our misery and turns it into ministry.Be Blessed and loved

If we are humble, then God will be able to take control of us. Then our life will change. I 've had a very hard life. To the point i wished i was never born. but we must press on. when we go through something there is an end and if we trust God, then He will be at the end waiting for us. There are lessons in suffering, it will shape our personality, make us stronger, and able to help others in need. This is satan's world and he will try to kill and destry whomever follows Christ. Stand firm and do not let him manipulate you! Trust in Jesus.

I recognize that most of the bad things that happen in my life are usually my fault. Poor choices. You cannot be perfect. Accept that you are going to make a lot of mistakes and deal with them. Except for the not having kids thing. That's really sad. I'm sorry.

Damn granuders. I hate em.

If god loves you so much, why would he allow all that crap to happen to you? Why would a god need to test your faith? I thought he knew all and saw all, so he'd know if you were as perfect and pure as you claim - why hurt you, then?

God sucks.

You know, all you have to do is look around to find someone else alot worse off than you. Count your blessings, see what God has done for you.
