I know there's tons of these, but please bare with me, my situation is kind of unique, as you'll see at the end.

We're in two classes and he's always looking at me, talking really loud around me, etc. But in this past week it has gotten kind of intense and confusing. He'll be everywhere, looking behind him and trying to get me to notice him, and I do like him, a lot. He's always really close to me and stuff.

This is the thing, I'm moving in 6 months. I can't go out with him, it would be more painful to leave and break a relationship than to just wish I could of gone out with him. I don't want to hurt him more either, this is just how it has to be.

We aren't even friends really, but we act like we've known each other forever when we do talk (hard to explain, hehe). Anyway, right now I've gone into ignore mode, faking disinterest (which isn't working!) Would it be best for me to just announce to my friends I'm moving when he's around?

Please help. :/

To the first poster: yeah, I like him a lot, just as much as he likes me. It's really hard to ignore him, and I hate myself for it, but he'll be more hurt if I went out with him and then moved so soon.

Same thing happened to me (five months, seven months ago). Things are still going well. It is going to be hard. Just try it. Chances are that it won't last anyway. Don't worry about it so much until it is a month or so away. Make sure that he knows beforehand though or you might just crush him. Best of luck, and do what you want to do.

P.S. I does hurt, a lot, but pain is temporary. I've moved midway through relationships twice, and moved many times before that. Moving isn't the end of the world. Just live like you normally would.

Tell him your moving, but that doesn't mean that you guys can't be friends. 6 months is pretty long, you never know what might happen.

Sometimes wondering "what could have been", will be harder than saying good-bye, at least give it a chance, if only for six months.

Just tell him that you're moving and see where it goes from there...
