Your question is not clear to any one of us. Still I will try.

1) The quality of water does not change when it passes through a pipe.

2) Use of ditches and canals involves wastage of water if they are not water proof, as the soil underneath will soak up water.

3) Pipes are more convenient for the transportation as they can be shifted as and when necessary.

Irrigation is what it is called when a farmer pumps water from his ponds to his fields. Gi...normous sprinkler systems. The water pressure would be enough to knock you off you feet. I know this from experience.....
