SERIOUSLY The chicken came first Male and female created by God in Genesis Chapter s 1-6 Then the Flood....And yes male and female chickens were saved too.

It would make sense that the egg came first because in dinosaur times, eggs would've existed. The dinosaurs that lived through the big extinction would have morphed over time, eventually to the chicken. So that means the egg came first.

It was in the news recently that scientists have decided it was the egg.
The way evolution works is that the offspring of an animal will, often, be better adapted. The thing that gave birth to the chicken wouldn't have been a chicken itself.
