Well, it sounds like to me that ur mom and dad r VERY OVERPROTECTIVE. You could always get emancipated or something. You could live with me!!! I keep you and name you Jenn and I would feed you!

How old are you? That's the main thing. I think make up isn't that big of a deal but myspace is understandable. I'm 18 and had a myspace but I had to delete it because I was being harassed/stalked by another user. Listen, they are just doing what is best for you, whether you like it or not. First things first, don't whine. If you think you're old enough to wear makeup and have a myspace, tell you parents why you should. Don't whine! Good luck though.

Hey Jenn! Ok well you know my views, you should be allowed to wear makeup and the myspace thing is totally cool too, mine its private and I'm fine with that I'd have it no other way. However I think you're parents are way too over protective of you. From what you've told me I'm kinda scared to go to your house anymore because they get mad at you for no reason? I don't have any suggestions I just thought you should know that they treat you younger than you are. You're almost 15 and you should be treated like a teenager not a 5 year old. This is the time when they should trust you with things like makeup and more responsibility. Maybe you should confront them.

Ok I tried being all serious and stuff, but you know me. Ok you're parents are weird, sorry but they are. They scare me and I think you should move out and come live with me. We'd have a blast! And you can help me with my science homework, because Im' totally lost. And make sure your parental aids aren't sniffing sharpies. LoL!

I know you love me! Talk to ya later sistah!

I think that you are old enough to wear make-up but I am not your parents so my opinion doesn't count. Instead of suggesting that you be allowed to wear make-up why don't you suggest certain types of make up products and give a valid reason for wanting them. You could ask to use concealer to hide pimples or tinted lip gloss so that your lips stay moist. Your parents are being very controlling. My mom was controlling but I was allowed to wear make-up at your age. As far as the myspace thing, I don't know what to tell you.

Jenn, do you have a younger brother or sister that you really love? How about a dog or a cat. Your parents are protecting you. Think about the person you love the most and imagine what you would do to protect them. The world can be a beautiful place but there are also some real psychos. You are so lucky to have people who care enough about you to watch out for you. There are kids in this world who have parents who just walk away and leave them all alone without food, love etc. Your parents are not those kind of people. You should be grateful.

Well When I was 15 like you, There are a lot of stuff I couldn't do. I couldn't go to the movies, I couldn't have a Boyfriend, I couldn't wear make up, couldn't have a cell phone... These are just a few of them. But you know what? It never bothered me because I know it was for my good, I never got mad at my parents, I love them to death. Believe me too much suff happen on myspace don't be angry if they don't let you go there, and you are still young anybod can convience you to do crazyness on myspace!
For the make up part, I think you can wear some but not too much, not like those freaks wearing blacks all over, just wear something for your age, just to look fresh, pretty

They are your parents, it's their job to protect you. They are right, and you are wrong. You should be happy your parents love you so much. You don't need makeup. You don't need to be on the internet open to all the perverts and child molesters that are just looking to hurt young girls. Instead of wasting time and energy being mad about all the things you can't do, maybe you should start thinking about all the good things in your life that God had blessed you with. There are so many kids out there that don't have parents that look out for them. Count you blessings, then maybe your life won't seem so terrible to you.

First of all, My Space is a horrible place. You can spend your time doing something better than that!!

Are you giving your parents reasons not to trust you? How is your attitude towards them? I've found that most parents absolutely love their children and what we call 'controlling our lives' is actually their fear of something bad happening to you.

You have to show them you can be responsible. If you're always yelling with them or lying, it will be a long time before you are granted any of these privledges.

My advice is for you to 'lighten up' on your parents. When you don't agree on something, calmly discuss with them why they feel as they do. I'll bet you will find out they have pretty good reasons for what they do.

Try it........

Well...how old are you anyway?

If you are like 10-12 years old, then I'd do the same as your parents. But if you are over 12, then I guess you can just secretly use make up, but try natural tones, so that it doesn't look so obvious. On top of all, I suggest you hold on to the thought if you are still really young. Be proud of your baby skin while it lasts. There are still so much time in front of you to use make up when you really need to anyway. Baby skin won't last long, so show it off without any make up while you still have it.

Well..that's just my two cents.

Here's a thought.

When you've completed your education, established a career path, or found a great job, found a great apartment/house, and pay all your own bills, buy all your own clothes... with your own money. Then you can be the boss of you.

Until then... be glad you're parents are alive and give a care about what you do or don't do.

When you're married have children of your own and you're trying to protect them as best you can by not allowing them to grow up too fast, and enjoy their childhood... and they turn around and write messages about you and how controlling and whatever you are..... maybe then you'll appreciate what your parents are going through with you.

You need to Chill and have some major respect.

Mom's have the last saying on these things( makeup), try telling your mom you don't want to paint your face like a clown, tell her you'll go light on everything you put on your face, also another thing you can do is include your mom in that first experience- tell her that you want her to help you put makeup on. I think its better if mom helps you than a "friend"- because mom will tell you if you look natural o not- a "friend" might tell you that more is better.
