I'm almost three weeks pregnat and I've been getting cramps for about a week like if I'm going to start my period. I'm not bleeding is just that sometimes I get really bad pains. Is this bad? Does it mean something is wrong? (I know I need to go to the doctor but my next visit is in two weeks, please help!!)

I am 7 months along..and if it is around the time of your period its normal..as long as there is NOOO bleeding or clotting.

If you're questioning whether or not to go, it probably is best you actually make that trip to the doctor regardless of what we say. Alternatively do you have a health line you can call to talk to a nurse?

My mum was pregnant a couple months after having me and had painful stomach pains. She went to the doctors (not knowing she was pregnant again) and he told her it was just stomach pains.. a few week down the line she bled and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy or something (she only told me recently since finding out I was pregnant).

I don't want to worry you but probably go see a doctor to make sure there's nothing wrong. It doesn't hurt to go ask.

are you sure yo arent a little further than 3 weeks? I only ask b/c normally when you miss your period your concidered a month pregnant. are you 7 weeks? Sometimes this can be normal do to ligaments stretching. also in the begining of pregnancy you still have that bloated kind of feeling. As long as you don't see any spotting I would say your probaly fine. Just try not to worry. Good Luck and Congrats on your pregnancy!!

I'm at the 4 week stage and this pregnancy like my first pregnancy has cramping involved.
Your uterus is just adjusting itself and normally they feel like period type cramps.
If you are concerned ring your G.P to discuss this - he may either want you to come in, or he may be able to reassure you over the phone.
Remember hon, you're body is starting it's journey for the next 8 to 9 months and has to prepare itself.
Hope this helps.

Yep completely normal, its your uterus stretching and softening,

It always scared me too ,like i might misscarry or something,

But don't worry its NORMAL.

Your gonna be feeling pains the entire pregnancy, and in every diffrent kinda place, things you don't even think could hurt you or bother you,

And my husband says all I ever do is complain and say I am tired and don't feel good for the whole 9 months, and even afterwards.

Ahahahahah! Get used to it BABY!!!

Good luck and God Bless you and the Baby.

Meg

PS I had bleeding during one of my pregnancy's for 5 months.

I had cramps the start of my pregnancy, and I was told that it was uterus adjusting to the baby. If you are really concerned though, or start to bleed I would call the obgyn and just ask them. You have enough to worry about without things that might be just nothing. So put your mind to rest and call and double check. They will understand.

You might want to call your doctor and talk to the nurse. They might want to see you earlier, just in case. But period-like cramps are normal early in pregnancy and are caused by your uterus stretching to make room for the baby. As long as you don't have any bright red spotting, you should be fine.
