Cake and ice cream is excellent TOGETHER. Try some vanilla ice cream with a slice of pound cake on the side. I've been served that at parties before...u can even make it a lil more tastier with some whipped cream...mmm.

I like a little of both. If it's chocolate cake i warm the cake and put vanilla ice cream on top.
