You don't.
Do you live with your parents? Then they get to make the rules.
Perhaps you can discuss with them the reasons why you need a laptop - you have prepared these, right? Or are you just whining? Good reasons can sway any adult - even a parent. :o)
They earn the money, so they get to decide how it is spent. Think about that next time you are eating the food they paid for, or wearing the clothes they bought.

tell your parents that u totally need it for school and that now u won't be taking up time on your family computer. say that u need the portability of a laptop and it would be great to be able to have everything in one place. do a little research and find a good but cheap laptop. i suggest walmart.com and maybe the acer aspire or another acer laptop. great quality, but inexpensive. hope this helps!

Don't be a spoiled brat. Be grateful for what you do have and that they have jobs. I'm guessing that you're old enough to have a job, since you want a laptop, and a younger kid shouldn't have there own laptop. So, get a job and buy it yourself!

They work hard and they've earned their money. If you want a laptop, get a job and buy one for yourself. It's way more rewarding that way.

Ok, spoiled brat! Get yourself a job and earn a laptop instead of whining about it.

Then get a job of your own.
As long as you live with your parents, under their roof, you legally have to do as they say.
Once you are 18 or over, have a job and your OWN place you will then be able to make your OWN decisions.

The way you talk, you don't deserve one. Maybe that's the problem. Why don't you try earning the money yourself.

Just tell them that you need it for school and if they really love you and care about your grades they will get it for you.
