I am trying to make No Bake cookies and that is one of the ingredients but I do not know how to convert that into cups.

A half cup.

A pound of butter is 16 ounces. A quarter pound of butter is 4 ounces. A cup is 8 ounces. So a half cup is 4 ounces.

Each pound of butter usually comes in 4 quarters, and each quater is 1/4 lb or 1/2 cup (8 Tablespoons)

One stick of butter is a 1/4 pound butter. If you buy 4 sticks of butter in a package, you will see that it is 1 pound. So, one stick is 1/4 of that pound.
