Since we are a social species our brains evolved to recognize the patterns of other people's behaviors and signs of their passing & handiwork. As with any such biological system it is an evolved system, filled with variation and imprecision, so naturally we sometimes see patterns where there are none, like recognizing shapes in clouds. Given that it was natural to eventually start attributing everything around us to some sort of being or spirit or something. Thus, the idea of spirits & gods was born in human culture.

We also are evolved to learn from the handiwork of others, to figure out the process of making useful things they made and traded to us. Thus we seek cause and effect relationships and that, when coupled with the idea of gods acting behind the forces of nature, gives rise to ideas about the process behind making the world - creation myths.

Predicting future behavior & events was a useful adaptation, particularly once we developed agriculture, so once you have that, naturally the next question is what happens in the future. What are the intentions & plans of these gods? Thus we see the coming of afterlife and end-of-the-world myths.

In some cultures these come together in myths about people uniting with or going to be with the gods after the end of the world. So there ya go. It's just another variation in human cultural evolution.

(As a side note, I'd like to add that the spell check found absolutely nothing wrong with this answer. I think I deserve at least one thumbs-up for that. :) )

You don't meet God then. If you know him before hand and do his will, the end of the world will not be the end of you, on the other hand, if you don't know God before the end comes it will mean your destruction. Second letter to the Thessalonians chapter 1, verses 8 and 9 says of Jesus:"in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus."
Examples in the Bible are Noah and his family and Lot and his 2 daughters. The same will be in our day. Matthew chapter 24, verses 3, 13,14 32-39

There easily is a time noted as the tribulation that the international will face, sometime contained in the destiny. it truly is prophesied in places like Isaiah 2 and Isaiah 24 and the e book of Revelation, and also spoken of by Jesus contained in the synoptic gospel expenditures. there is also an antichrist who will come reported in Revelation, Thessalonians, Daniel(i imagine), a million John. As to earthquakes and so on, they sometimes take position traditionally, so i do not comprehend if now's fantastically undesirable. there have been worse cataclysmns contained in the previous - eg the barbarian invasions, the plague, different devastating pandemics, severe famines... yet Israel returning to its land replaced into prophesied, and needed for those prophecies about the end of the age. also there are ability attackers of that u . s . contained in the Arab international with an excellent grudge and an component of hatred, so the purely right Antichrist challenge is traditionally achievable quickly.

I don't know, but God is with each and everyone of us all the time.
Have you ever noticed, if you have a particular problem, which seem unbearable, and you pray about it, .....the problem seems to take care of itself, but we all know its Gods intervention that
helped us get thru the trouble times. God is with us always. The power of prayer is an amazing and wonderful feeling. If people believe the end must come before they meet God, then I think they have missed the boat and need some define intervention.

I think that we must grow much more spiritually in heaven before we can meet it. if I were to suddenly come in the presence of God I do believe I would be burned to a cinder

Because that is God's perfect plan! What could be better? If it IS God's plan, then it must be perfect. That doesn't mean that we can't have a relationship with God until the world is over. God is very real and very much among us. God can speak to us, and tell us things to do, he can give advice, words of encouragement, and just tell us that he loves us. We'll never know the depth of his love, and that is what makes him so great.

That is an easy way to convince someone of the existence of something without evidence, You can see God, the world just has to end first. After the world ends, no need to prove it, no one calls to complain about any lie.
