If you are not married and are going to have to be apart for the next 3 to 4 years I would suggest that you both just go on with your lives. Alot can happen in that amount of time. Out of sight out of mind. A young man will soon forget about his relationship when apart and not married for that amount of time. If after the 3 or 4 years you or him comes back and are still both available then give it another try if not neither should be hurt , maybe sad but not hurt.

Depends on how old you are. If you're 12 and he's 16, then YES, that is a BIG age difference. If you're 18 and he's 22, that's not as big. If you're 25 and he's 29, you're both adults and the age difference isn't a big deal at all. Basically, the younger you are, the more of a difference it makes because your minds and your bodies are at very different levels of maturity.
Keep in mind, too, that if you're sexually active and you have a big age difference (for example, he's 18 and you're 14), he could be charged with statutory rape. And that is NOT something to mess around with!

If one or both are under 18, it can be a problem that can have consequences, depending on their ages and the state they live in. Otherwise, it is not a big age range. In fact, it is quite average.

If you're underage, then yes, it's too much. 17 and 13, too much. 30 and 34, not too much. Depends on the ages of the people involved. 19 and 15, too much. 25 and 21, not too much. Get it?

it depends on ya'lls ages. if you are both over 18 and out of high school then of course not. but if one of you is younger than that then i certainly wouldn't hold your breath.
