"What is the definition of God?"
For a person to say there is no God, he should know what is the meaning of God. If I hold a book and say that ‘this is a pen’, for the opposite person to say, ‘it is not a pen’, he should know what is the definition of a pen, even if he does not know nor is able to recognise or identify the object I am holding in my hand. For him to say this is not a pen, he should at least know what a pen means. Similarly for an atheist to say ‘there is no God’, he should at least know the concept of God. His concept of God would be derived from the surroundings in which he lives. The god that a large number of people worship has got human qualities - therefore he does not believe in such a god. Similarly a Muslim too does not and should not believe in such false gods.

you must be enlightened by an atheist intellectual. You need proper education. It may take long. But you should try. It is never too late. Good luck.
BY THE WAY, GOD IS A GENERAL NAME FOR NON-EXISTENT THINGS

Well as an "atheist" I reject all notions of God as proposed by all forms of organised religion. I alos reject the divine validity of any "teachings" of god. It goes against any common wisdom to believe in such nonsense. Religion has no place in a modern society and is simply a throw back to am archaic and barbaric time, born out of the need to control the masses through fear. "If you don't do things this way you are going to go to a place full of fire and pain and torture and death". But remember "He loves you!" ....blah what a sack of sh*t.
.....it is no secret that the church has collected staggering sums of money over the centuries for their own gain. Corruption, hypocrasy and perversion personified.
There are many people associated with the church that do good works and good deeds but you don't need to be religious to do these things and millions of people have proved so. Rejecting science for silly belief models like "intelligent design" is just preposterous and it is this sort of thinking that holds back humanity.
As an atheist I believe in a wider, more powerful energy than has yet been discovered but I don't necessarily consider it to be a conscious energy and it would be one with an ultimately scientific basis.

If there is only one God, then anyone who prays "to the one and only God" is praying to that God...since there are no others.
Even the Bible has different "names" for the One God. There is no such thing as praying to the wrong God since there is only One God.
Muslims call him Allah
Christians call him God
Jews call him Jehovah
He is the same One God

Im glad you know how to copy and paste. I will send you a box of pens if you send me God. Ok?
I would recommend a list of books for you but i think its pointless.
I will only recommend one "why i am not a muslim" by Ibn Warraq
I doubt you will read this book cover to cover.

Another claim that atheists are simply ignorant of the 'concept' of God. Nope, bub, atheists just believe that god is ONLY a 'concept'. Bah!

The definition of god is an idea that a supernatural being exists who has no origin and will never die, a logically impossible hypothesis, and that this being frequently breaks the laws of time and physics and chemistry to interfere in the lives of humans.
I find this idea to lack proof and to be inherently illogical.

For someone to challenge atheists, they should know what atheist means. It means:
a = without
the = god
ist = (belief in)
Definitions may vary but if you don't believe in a god on these terms, you've covered all definitions. Your asking if I don't believe in YOUR special definition of god is moot (but the answer is still no).
And hey, what's with the comparing-god-to a-pen thing anyway? How screwed up is that?

Wrong. Sorry. Please try again. We know what God is supposed to be. I live surrounded by people of faith, and yet, I still refuse to believe. And if I were to pick a god, Allah would be the last one on my list, sorry.

So let me get this right:
you give an ethereal, vague fuzzy definition of god, and then you blame atheist's unwillingness to waste their time with your bullcrap as the reason they don't believe what you want them to believe.

Why do you want us to believe your stories.You call it definition.How many definitions shall we read for the same word.We have better things to do.
You look up to your god rather than straying elsewhere.
Is your god powerless to seek your help to promote him.
