Ok I downloaded the new version of McAfee Security Center and I found it nice looking but the problem is, it is so confusing and frustrating. The interface is not that well laid out you have to choose advanced menu always or click configure to get to more options that takes me about 5 minutes to sort through. It nags if you disable any options unless you tell it to ignore which I did alot, and it is full of so many useless options. Now I have Battlefield 2 and I uninstalled in October so now if I install it again I don't know how McAfee will respond to me going online.

So what do you think of the new version? Also how do I disable (not unsuscribe) the Privacy Service because I can't find it in my options? Has anyone played multiplayer games on it what did it do to the games?

McAfee has bugged me since they started charging for their software. Run AVG free from Grisoft, nice and easy and no yearly subscription. Microsoft firewall will do the trick as far as firewalls go. If you have a router inbetween that's even better. As for anti-spyware take a look at CounterSpy.

Good luck

Hey, i got the new mcafee, while it isnt bad it isnt pefect either, personally im quite happy with mine, it hasnt really stoped my online play, but occasionally i find myself disabling the firewall.
to disable it without unsubcribing, click on your desktop shortcut, then click on either virusscan, personal fire wall plus, privacy protection and spam killer, and then on the top of the screen it should say , "click here if you want to disable......" after you click there it will ask you if you are sure, say yes
hope this helps
