Implantation bleeding is when the blood from the embryo is embedding itself in the lining of the uterus.
Only about 20% of women will have this bleeding.
It can vary from a brownish discharge to a light pinkish discharge and generally lasts for a day or two.

Implantation bleeding is when the embry is embedding itself in the uterine wall...its just old blood from the uterine wall. Not everyone gets it.

It's the spotting that occurs when the placenta attaches itself to the uterine wall, not the embryo.
