Hi, i just installed windows media player 11 and everything was working fine, until when I tried to play a video (wmv file) only the music was showing up. I rightclicked and selected "show video" but nothing happened. please help!

Get rid of it! Try Real Player instead. I had similar and other problems but am happy now!

download the codec for windows media player 11 on media tab good luck

windows media routinely sends their upgrades out and do not have the right codecs to pugrade it correctly. I would use system restore to go to the old version or search for some new codecs to use.

Go to property file type, then select all.

More than likely you need to download some divx codecs go to www.download.com and download divx and it should work fine.
