hi, i'm a hairstylist, get yourself a nice intense treatment conditioner ( if you cant afford a salon one, try elvive by loreal in a round red tub! ) sit in the bath and let the steam penetrate your hair, shampoo with a shampoo for coloured hair, whilst you do this heat a towel up on the radiator or heater. put the conditioner on and wrap the towel around for ten mins then give your hair a nice long rinse. dont use the same towel to dry it! put a heat protestor and straightenening balm on and blw dry it in sections. hope this helps!

Get yourself some good professional products. I'm talking about the ones you can only get in salons, these may be a little more expensive than chemist bought products but are much more likely to do the job.

If you've got plenty to spend I'd recommend Alterna (the best products on the market right now - www.4alterna.com for more info), or for something more middle of the range try Paul Mitchell.

Find a salon that sells these products and go in to ask their advice, it's best for someone to see your hair that way they can give you the help you need. It may also be a good idea to have some in salon treatments too, these tend to be much more conditioning than anything you can do at home.

I dye my hair constantly (which is a really bad idea with my hairtype) and it's usually a big rat's nest of frizzies and split ends afterward. The only way for my hair to restore itself and for me to have soft, managable hair is for me to go to the tried and true. John Freida's Frizz-Ease Hair System is the greatest thing I've ever encountered. The shampoo is gentle enough so that I can use it everyday and the conditioner is excellent. It restores my hair to it's natural luster, and in the "repair time" phase, the Hair Serum and DownPlay liquid are lifesavers. If you've got really bad hair right now, I recommend you give the Frizz-Ease system a try.

Try to use a good product that does not have alcohol in it.One of the best frizz products I've tried is called coco butter hair cream.I've tried Frizz Ease Products and THEY DO NOT WORK on people with bad hair.PERIOD.Using a "drabber" will help keep the color longer and try using a stay-in conditioner .Oh and don't die your hair too much. This will cause all of the above ..or worse. And also if you are trying to grow your hair out, have the ends trimmed.Being from Puerto Rico,..Secret of the island. open up an avocado and smear it through your hair. Let it stay in for about five minutes and massage the scalp..You'll see. When you wash your hair, wash it in luke warm water as hot water removes moisture and :pat"your hair dry to prevent breakage.Hairdryers are super bad on your hair and in you spare time, brush you hair it brings the natural oils from your scalp up to your hair for a healthier shine.

Keep your hair clean by washing it regularly though not too often (every 3 days at the most, your hair needs the natural oils to keep it in good condition and moist). Brush it well twice daily. Condition after each wash. Once a week use a deep conditioning treatment from a reputable brand. If you swim, be sure to wear a swimming cap and wash twice afterwards with extra conditioning. Let your hair dry naturally and only use straighteners if you really have to - these dry your hair further. If you do blow dry, do it once your hair is nearly dry. I recommend 'frizzese' after styling - its excellent and helps my dry thick hair.

Get tressemme deep conditioner( in a tub not tube or bottle). put plenty on your hair, comb through then cover your hair with cling film or a plastic bag. sounds odd but it keeps the heat in & penetrates the dry overprocessed hair better. You can then wrap in a towel & leave for a couple of hours before rinsing out or you can leave overnight for really deep treatment. The dye you are using may be too harsh on your hair. Consider changing brand but stick to same colour number to keep your current shade. Also invest in one of the hair serums, fructis is a good one

Sounds like you need a conditioning treatment , and i would recommend getting some split end repairer too, use it about an inch from the roots that might help!! You could also try anti frizz serum which should be applied to towel dried hair and left in!!!You need to treat it with TLC your hair is very fragile!!!

My own hair gets like that every few months from build up of colour. use a conditioner like tresemme and leave it in all night. dont apply to the roots just the mid-length and ends and rinse in the am. do this every two weeks and you should see an improvement.
