I have had good success with Nicorette Lozenges, they have 2mg and 4mg for heavier smokers. One lozenge lasts about 3 hours its the best luck I've had. Try to getting exercise too... it elevates your mood while burning calories of extra food you may eaten. Believe me though, it is hard.

When I was stopping smoking I tried everything Gum, Patches, Audio tapes nothing worked. Then I found Eclipse cigarettes. I have been smoke free for 4 Years. They work if you give them a chance.
First link is a coupon for $4 off three packs.
Second is how these cigarettes work!!!!!

Work on a hobby when you feel the urge to light up. That's what I did. At the time, I was hooking rugs, but you could work on any hobby. Take a walk. Get one of your friends and go somewhere. Try not to concentrate on wanting to smoke but on the activity and how great you will feel when you kick the habit and it's out of your system, your family, friends and life.

You might try what my wife did. Instead of going completely cold turkey, she simply cut down. She would cut down a little at a time till finally she was able to completely stop. Good luck.

My dad was a smoker for years. He used cinnamon sticks to chew on to help curb the cravings. That is all he used too. None of the Nicorette stuff. (Not that it isn't any good)
He overcame the habit. I hope you can too!!!

See your doctor. They have different methods to help you with that now.
My mom quit cold turkey 45 years ago when she planned to have me. She hasn't smoked since.
