No, ephedra is not illegal. It is regulated now, so you can only have 10mg of ephedra per pill or less.
Epehedrine is man made and is readily available anywhere, but not as good as ephedra.

Not yet. However, the US, more and more, is having a problem with crystal meth. The main ingredient is ephedra. Or, more to the point, the synthetic ephedra (pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) is available in large quantities for cheap and is being used to plague our communities with the worst type of drug addicts. That's the real reason for the regulation of the herb and it's the reason that , in most places in the country, you need to show ID and sign something to get cold medications. Eventually, all forms of natural and synthetic ephedra are going to be banned, not just for sale but from production. The problem with addicts is just too big to leave it to stop gap measures.

Yes, it's illegal. It was taken off the market again earlier this year. As for ephedrine it's a synthetic form of ephedra.

Some manufacturers actually do mislabel their products. Unfortunately, it's all too easy to do, and then there are companies who use very similar names to ephedra and many lay people mistakenly take them for the old, popular ephedra weight-loss products. Quite frankly, I am not sure if ephedra is still illegal. It was a couple years ago, but I am unaware of the current standing.

Hi!
The FDA has banned ephedra. To my knowledge, ephedrine is still legal. It works similarly.
Good luck with your diet and fitness goals!
