I just took a urine pre-employment drug test and I also have a urinary tract infection. Therefore I had trace blood in my urine. About a month ago for the one and ONLY time I experimented with a drug (I took ecstasy). Because there was trace blood in my urine, will I fail because it is easier to detect drugs in your blood and they can be traced for longer in the blood?? Help please! I am nervous....I know drugs are horribly wrong and I want to know if I ruined my life for one night of curiosity........

I didn't smoke any weed or do anything else...I am afraid of drugs....I had been drinking and it was more or less an impulse of idiotness.....

I don't think you drug test will come back positive. It has been over a month. The blood in your urine won't show anything but you have blood in your urine. Hope this helps.

The drug test looks for metabolites of illegal drugs, not blood in your urine. Also, my instinct tells me that you most likely smoked pot as well. Urine test are a little more sophisticated than they used to be. Sorry, but I'll say that you'll fail the urinalysis.

I've heard that drugs stay in your system for awhile. I was hoping you would not say that cuz I recently took a blood urine test while my period was on. (pre-employment) was told it will not ruin the test results BUT..... she did tell me that "if" I was a drug user, it WILL show.

They probably won't test the trace blood that's in your urine, if they can even do that. But you should have told them if you were on any meds for your UTI as well as the fact that you were recovering from said UTI.

Makes no difference if it's blood or urine, it will stay there for about the same amount of time, as all urine is is the impurities taken out of blood.

If you took a urine test and there was blood in it, its still a urine test. A month is a long time for estacy to stay in your system, you should be safe.

well unless blood is a drug then yes you will fail...a drug test only checks for drugs and if you did them prior the the test then it will show up.

I think your doomed. I believe you have to be "clean" three (3) months for them not to detect. Sorry, but life's hardest experience will teach us the most inportant things in life.

I don't think so. Ex usually gets out of your system in a couple of days. If they test your hair it will be traceable, but not urine or salivia.
