Is it true eating raw fish (sushi) is good for your skin?

Sushi is not gross. It is very healthy. I just want to see if there are any benefits to eating it. Regardless, I will continue to eat it.

Yes most types of fish contain high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids that are beneficial to skin regeneration as well as other things. On the downside, some fish contain Mercury, which can be harmful in large doses. Also, there is always a risk of ingesting bacteria from sushi or any other undercooked food.

If you have certain diseases, sushi and sashimi can be bad. These diseases include cancer, chemotherapy, HIV or immune diseases, possibly liver diseases, as well as more serious heart and kidney diseases/failure. Also, it is not good for pregnancy. Sushi and Sashimi has chance of carrying bacteria, parasites, and viruses such as Hepatitis A. Under normal health condition, it is OK to eat them, since our immune system is well enough to fight off any of the pathogens. However, if you have above disease, you might not be able to fight the infection, and you can get into trouble. That is the reason sushi restaurants put a warning about eating raw materials.

I'm not sure if sushi in general is but I do know that salmon is really good for the skin. Maybe if there was salmon in the sushi roll it would be ok.
