What is so great about heaven anyway?

So...there is a lot of praying and worshiping...and everything is happy all the time...and it's nice there...we bask in God's wonderful light all day long...and WHAT? Nice is like white bread with butter on it...like vanilla ice cream...like cottage cheese without fruit or sugar... Can you say, "BORING!!" I would last approximately the length of 47 Earth days before going postal, flying to the holy gun shop to buy an assult rifle, and shooting the other residents in the heads for sport.

Seriously, I want nice sometimes, but not all the time...I want more Chris Rock and less Wayne Brady...more top-fuel dragster and less Kia Rio...more Halo and less computer Solitaire...more dagger-swallowing bear-training clowns that speak in a heavy German accent and less Teletubies...more recent post-baby post-rapper-moron Britney Spears and less Mickey Mouse Club Britney Spears.

An eternity of "nice" sounds like an eternity of hell. Thoughts?

Being with God in heaven does mean we give up anything. In fact we will gain more. You like drag races. How about the hottest car that has ever existed. How about a pit where the Lord works along side you, a pit that would put the hottest earthly crew to shame. I sail, sailing is the third most important thing in my life. My Lord, my wife, and my boat, in that order. He won't take that away he will make it fuller experience, more fun, more adventure, more beauty.. I would laugh at your idea that heaven is a cloud where we pluck harps and sing praises all day and all night.. there will be time to do that and so much MORE... Jim

To us on earth, nice is finding a 20 dollar bill in our coat from last winter, eating chocolate, feeling loved by other humans. The Paradise that believers are to get once we die, is beyond anything here on earth. I mean come on, the roads are paved with gold!! God made this beautiful earth in 6 days, he has been preparing Heaven for us for centuries...I cannot EVEN imagine the perfection of it...I can't wait!
