A neclace of a sort or something in that line of gifts. That way years down the road he can look at it and remember the good times. If he i the type a belt buckle or an earing. Just something that will stay around for years to come.

Do something fun like bowling or ice skating together, and make him a gift, ie mix cd, coupons for free massages, ect.
