Do we have a responsibility? no..just as there was no responsibility to learn how to use fire, agriculture, metal, or any other advance since then.
We could have lived happy lives huddling in caves, worrying about predators having us for dinner.
Do we have a drive to discover? Yes we do - despite eons of shamans, medicine men, priests, rabbis and mullah warning us that the discovery will surely imperil our souls.
God didn't put men on the moon. Scientists and Engineers did.
God created polio - Scientists and doctors created the vaccine
Whatever happens in the afterlife, I want to go where the scientists go. At least they'll be trying to improve conditions there, instead of waiting for god to do it!

Well my parents are always telling me that I shouldn't doubt God and the fact that he created us , . . . . . . . . but i had my THOUGHTS and couldn't exactly figure them out UNTIL what someone said opened my mind to new questions she said that what if when God was creating the Earth in 7 days that those days weren't 24 hours like our days are now what if they were millions of years or something so maybe God did whatever scientists are thinking the world was made so then both scientists and the bible are correct!! If you have anything to ask me about this because it is kinda confusing my email is Browneyez_44@yahoo.com

Saying "God made it that way" is satisfactory only for those who have no respect or appreciation for the powers of common sense they have whatsoever! I don't know whether God is there or not, but I do know that if "He" designed something as marvelous as this universe, He'd be pretty pissed off if we didn't investigate it well enough to truly understand & appreciate it!

Responsibility, NO.
We do however have a curiosity and that curiosity was given to us by God. There is nothing wrong with trying to figure out how he did it, or even why he did what he did and does.
Science was also given to us by God. We are never told not to try and do things, but we are given limits as to how we go about trying to discover things. For example, we are told not to murder. Therefore, killing an unborn child just to experiment with the body would be an unacceptable way to go about learning things.

Check out or buy the book "The Case for Christ", by Lee Strobel
See if you agree with his methods or not.
He was an atheist that searched for answers, actually overcoming his own disbelief. If you REALLY want the answer, read first, and see if/where his scientific method went wrong.
If it did, and you have the means, why not start a search of your own?

If God just did it, then it will be impossible to discover them through scientific method since science won't believe that we were created.

It is not satisfactory at all. The problem is, the bible pretty clearly states you're not supposed to think, just have faith. In other words, just blindly believe. I guess God doesn't like it when you use the brain he "gave" you....

You cannot discover our origin through science for science was not involved in the creation oof Adam Eve, Earth or universe. GOD created them from nothing. No science involved.

I'm not aware of a " responsibility " to discover our origins. Although it would satisfy a curiosity.
