Actually Lacy does not what she is talking about. In Spanish "y" means "and" and "o" means "or." However, when the word following "y" starts with an "i" you have to use "e" instead of "y." Thus, "casa y iglesia" is improper grammar and should be written "casa e iglesia." Also, when the word following "o" starts with an "o" you have to use "u" instead. Thus, "estructura o oraciones" is wrong, but "estructura u oracionses" is correct.

i don't know what 'estructora' means (do you have it spelled right?) but 'e' means 'and' (change 'y' to 'e' if you use it before a vowel) and 'oraciones' means either 'sentences' or 'prayers'.
