Sad but true, tell your mate to look after himself, spend time with friends, and remember that the pain will go away and his heart will heal. Try and distract him till things get easier.

Yes, 'cause I've been there... and I got over it. First and foremost, do NOT rush into another relationship. It will not work and will only make things worst. Your friend will have to go through a period of cleansing of that dead relationship before he starts another. That process can take 2 or 3 months. During those months your friend should socilaize a lot and always be with a lot of people around him. Socialise to forget. When alone at home, do not resort to drink but go to bed early so you are not too long alone reminiscing and therefore... suffering. He will come out the other end begining to feel contempt for the relationship that died and longing for a new one. OWN EXPERIENCE !!!

Tell her to find another partner making sure that the new partner does not have the same faults as the one that she split from.

1) talk to friend (done that cuz he's gone to u and asked you)
2) don't listen to love songs
3) get out of the house and meet up with friends and have a good night out or something.
4) don't lock your perfect significant other module from past experiences.
5) meditation...might work...u'll neva know.

just go out with friends, go to the movies, spend time with family. u can go out to the clubs or a bar but he can talk to girls but he doesnt have to get there number or hook up with them, just talk. then little by little he will get over it. it might take some time and no one can rush him.

tell him to do his own thing. get out there, dont mope around, see friends, talk about it, whatever it is that cheers him up - i suggest not sleeping around coz he msises the sex
