Her brother is my husband. I find it inappropriate, and ask him not to hold hands with her when I am present. Gross or what!! I would never act like that with my big brother- same age difference. Why don't they see it the same way?! How can I show him its not good?

He says to get over it. We don't see her often, but are moving closer, and I am dreading being around her--she's psycho

lol.... :o).... heeheehee...

Sorry... I jus' had to laugh there for a min...

Okay, first of all.. strange, weird, and odd... hmmmmm....

I totally understand where your coming from... I mean, in my culture that is totally un-exceptable... for someone over 16 to be snuggling and holding hands wit' her big brother...

If she was under 10, then yeah... it's all good.. but 18 and 23... ahhh heeellll noooo... thats embarrassing and disgusting...

Tell them come to my home-town... and do that infront of my people... and totally they will have people being all up in there business askin' them... whats the deal? lol... you digg?

We don't do that... lol...

I have 4 older brothers... and 4 sisters... and hell no.. not even we do that... the youngest is 18 in my family... and she doesnt even do that... lol.. all I can say is gross... seriousely...

You should talk to him more about it... if it doesn't get thru' his thick skull... I'de rather you grab a frying pan in the kitchen and smacked him on the side of his head so he'll wake up...

They're probably doin' something nasty when your not around...

Girl... all I can say is: Check Yo' Man... you needstah put yo' man on CHECK..

Ewww. It think that is just sick. I would NEVER snuggle with my brother or hand is hand [[unless it was for support or something]] Brother && Sister should not act like that towards each other. You should say something to you husband about that.

It's not normal

Maybe they are not looking at in the same way that you are. They may not see the thing as being not right and see it as just to siblings having time together. If one of them felt it as some other kind of closeness I am sure they would stop. You just need to explain to your hubby and expect that he work on it stopping. You can also talk to her in private and have a little talk to see if that helps. Just plan some of your words ahead of time.

Maybe she's only had her brother to rely on as her father-figure. If that is the case it explains alot. I am the oldest of 3, and my parents werent there alot for us. My younger brother and sister are STILL very affectionate towards me even though I am 23. Although you may not understand it, try to empathize with it. I do agree with you on asking him not do it in front of you, it is kind of weird to see a young woman hold your husband's hand even if you know its his sister, and he should respect your request. Try sitting down and talking to his sister about in using "your perspective" so at least she is aware of your concern. It isn't likely that she'll agree with it, but at least she'll know how you feel.

That seems a bit odd to me. Are there things about their past that you don't know about? Abuse perhaps? Do they have a secret they are keeping?
I have a big brother an holding his hand just isn't in the cards. I love him but I don't need to cuddle him....icky!!!

They may just be really close. I don't personally snuggle or hold hands with my brother. And I'm close to him, but it is nothing to go up and hug him, or link arms when we are feeling stupid in stores :P..

well, some siblings are very close...if i have a brother (which i don't have one) and i feel close to him cuz he's my brother, id snuggle and hold hands...mayb not the really cat style snuggle, but holding hand's fine i think...maybe you should tell him how you feel about him holding hands with her...he should understand...but you have to understand that they are siblings and theres the close siblings feeling too!

Family is family and no matter what you say it will never change...they may have a close bond so watch what you say cause your complaining can cause him to dump you because you are trying to come between family

Why dont you try holding his hand and cuddling up to him when he is there

They have obviously been brought up differently.
You are correct,it is usually not appropiate.
Have them sit down with somebody they can both trust and rely on for advise (like a minister) and let him talk to them about it.

Honestly, if it's his sister I don't even see how you have a right to protest. It's not like he's cheating on you, and some families are very close like that, especially if she's his little sister.
