I got rid of MS Paint (on accident) and now it wont show up on the add/remove programs list or in the add/remove window's components, either. I tried searching for it on the computer and it seems to find it, but when I click on the button with the 'application' heading, it comes up and freezes or just doesnt let me access any of my folders. Is there any way to install MS Paint or to even uninstall/reinstall it?! Thanks!

option1
=====
1. Go to Start -> Run
2. Type in 'mspaint' and push enter
If it comes up you're all set (OR) you can still use option below to bring it back on your menu

option2
======
1. Go to Start - > Settings -> Control Panel
2. Select 'Add/Remove Programs'
3. Click on 'Add/Remove Windows Components'
NOTE: This is NOT on the list. It is a button towards
the left of the list instead. It should open the Windows
Component Wizard
4. Select 'Accessories and Utilities' from the list and click
on the details button
5. Select 'Accessories' from the next list and click on the
details button again
6. Make sure Paint is checked of all the options on the
next list you see
7. Click OK, Click OK, Click Next and it should re-install paint

You're all set after that madame/sir...

Off Course you can use other better Image editing software out there like Gimp, Print Pro Shop e.t.c.

It should show up in add/remove windows component. if not, then there is no way to get it back unless you repair windows. if you are in win xp, you can try system restore option to restore back to previous date.

Just as side note: why you want MS paint? it is a worthless program. I don't remember when last time I even open the paint program!!
there are lots of nice, powerfult image editing and viewing softwares:

Professional quality image editing:
1. Gimp(http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html)
2. Photofiltre(http://www.photofiltre.com/)

Image viewer and organizer:
1. faststone (http://www.faststone.org/download.htm)
2. irfan view
