Two weeks ago a good friend of mine says how she has hugged many guy friends and asked if she could hug me. Her brother stopped her, but she kept mentioning it. She asked another time and her brother was like, "Uhhh....no!". She kept telling me that she hugs everyone, but I have only see her hug girls. Last night she spontaneously hugged me for the first time, but then she got online and apologized saying hugging must not be my thing because I gave her a weird look. Her hug was random, but I was ok with it. When she found this out, she gave me a *hugs* on AIM and said she was just kidding. Why is she acting like this?

That's hard to figure. She may have wanted to see your reaction, because she may like you. Though, what about all the other hugging? Would it be to crazy, to just ask her brother what gives? Why is she acting that way? Maybe, being her brother, he probably knows why she does that way. For some reason, he told her not to hug you. Sneak it into a conversation sometime. If she saw the look on your face after that first startled hug, she may be just teasing you now over it. Maybe to get a little attention from you, or just trying to be a friend. Watch her more often. She could possibly just be a loving person. I have seen other people who like the contact.

There seems to be some interest there for why would she hug alll her guy friends and then TALK about IF she can hug you? And when she hugged you , she took your suprised response as a rejection and was embarrassed. Therefore, she did the AIM thing to you. Seems clear cut to me.

Sounds like she is trying to see if it is really ok with you or not. Her brother probably has something to do with it. Maybe she likes you too. Sometimes us girls can act just as weird as guys when we like someone as we start to mature. Just ask her.

Hugs are free and we have an unlimited supply. The young lady in question likes you and her Bro. knows it. Watch yourself you may have a girl friend and don't know it yet.

she probably likes you. all girls act really weird around guys they like. if you like her then you should tell her how you feel and see how she reacts.
