Best possible way to meet someone when you are a single mom?

I have a 4-month old son and his father is not involved in any way but I has just moved to a new town (to be closer to family) and I'm not sure how to meet men or just make friends that understand what its like to be a single parent. Any ideas?

After you tell me how to meet women while being a single dad.

Depends on the guys you want to meet.

If your child's dad is completely out of the picture, think about where you met him. If it was a bar or something like that, guess what, going to the same type of places you went to before will get you the same type of guy.

Try bookstores. Keep away from churches (those that go there have a laundry list of issues they need miracles to solve). Coffee houses are good as well.

Whatever you do, if the guy you're looking at even resembles the guy that left you with a kid (cause he's a lot more like the other guy then you'd want to admit to even to yourself) stay away.

I actually met my man at the annual live stock show (I live in TX) I had my kids with me all day for the rides and shows and then my mom (God Bless that woman) picked them up and I stayed at the Beer Garden to catch up with some old friends. Those old friends introduced me to the man of my dreams...and we have been dating for 9 months now. Just get out of the house as often as possible. Either with your baby or solo. No one is going to come to your door...Any old function is a chance to run into people. Good luck!
