How do dogs get hiccups?

My dog gets them everyday..

Same as people. Hiccups are caused by a spasming of the diaphram. Eating too fast, drinking too fast, or playing to hard can all cause them. I wouldn't worry about it, it is not harmful.

usually eating or drinking to fast. also excitement

idk but i think it goes away faster on dogs
