What are some of the ways I can get information from grandmother? I need to gather as much information as possible like birthday, SS, birth and place. I just have her name, but she died before I was born. She was born in the US. I will sincerely appreciate you information. It is not a life death issue; however, it is very important I get this information.

Try the geneology websites or a local paper where she lived to read her obituary.
Other than that you can try for a birth certificate through the government if you know where she was born.
