Maybe okay, but definitely tacky. Either invite her in person or pick up the phone and give her a call. Text messages and e-mail are for cowards and teeny-boppers.

If she is your neighbor then be a man and walk over to her house and ask her out. I would not go out with a guy that asked me through text. Good luck in all you do!

I guess it depends on the woman. Personally I prefer a guy to ask by calling me or in person.

come on!! get up the nerve and ask her personally! using text messaging to ask someone out makes you seem like a coward. go up to her & ask her, what have you got to loose? good luck!!

It's kinda cheesy.. but go for it. She might like it better if you ask her face to face. Its always the best route!
