Yes and no.
While all three products you listed do contain water, the caffeine that soda and cofee have dehydrating effects. This means that your body will retain very little, if any, of the water that is consumed from these beverages. Juice is only slightly better. While you will retain the water portion of juice more than that of soda or coffee, it contains far too much sugar to reasonably replace water as a vital nutritional need.
In the end you would be better of just loading up a glass with some ice and drinking it down. Besides, more often than not you will find water a much more refreshing drink than any of the above options.

No one is required to drink 8 glasses of water a day. That is a myth. Drink as much as you need. When you are thirsty, drink water. If you aren't or find you have to go to the bathroom all too often, don't drink as much. Fruit juice and soda (diet or not) shouldn't be drank more than once a day. Fruit juice and soda are pretty much liquid sugar and diet sodas use artificial sweeteners which are just as bad. Bottom line: drink water when you're thirsty, everything else in moderation.

Not caffeinated beverages. Caffeine is actually a diuretic, albeit mild. But if your point is to add fluid, that's not the best way to go. And high sugar drinks like soda and juice aren't a good idea because of the empty calories.

The 8 cup of water thing is a bit of a myth, though. Do drink lots of water, and do tailor it to your activity (ie more if you're running around), but don't try to peg it to a specific "daily requirement" number.

The human body is made up of regularly water. The stated quantity of water is sixty 4 oz..an afternoon. espresso and alcohol would not count number as they are diuretics. Juice is a fluid yet isn't procedure a similar way that water is.

Doubtful...but maybe. I guess it should count, but you are supposed to then drink more water bc of the caffiene dehydrating you.

I DO know that milk is the equivalent of water in terms of hydration. Soups are good too!

Did you know that the body can actually only absorb like 1/2 cup of water an hour?

Ye. However with coffee and tea, which are natrural diuretics you still need to add more water to your daily total. Fruit juice is about 75% water so take that into consideraation. I usually add water to my fruit juice since i hate drinking water.

Caffinated beverages don't count, and I've always been told you should drink an extra glass of water for each one because it is a diuretic. Juice, milk, etc. do count.because they are not.

ABSOLUTENY NOT!!! WATER IS WATER! ALTHOUGH U DO HAVE SOME WATER CONTENT IN OTHER BEVERAGES, IT IS DIGESTED IN THE BODY IN A DIFFERENT WAY THAN WATER IS, SO IT CANNOT BE COUNTED AS WATER! WHEN THEY SAY 8 x 8OZ. GLASSES OF WATER A DAY, THEY MEAN WATER & WATER ONLY!!! OTHER'S R EXTRA!
