Best software for making DVDs from photos and making backup copies of my purchased DVDs?

I am making DVDs of my family photos with music background, but I want to be able to separate the occasions and then have a menu so I can go to whatever occasion I want to look at the pictures. I would also like to be able to copy purchased dvds as well so I don't have to worry about my children scratching mine

for Photo's the best bet is Nero.
but to backup movies that are copy protected, use softwares Anydvd and CloneDVD from www.slysoft.com

Ulead video studio 9.
Pinnacle video studio 10(needs 1gb of ram or higher)
