My daughter did this and found that they are NOT the same.
She is not digesting them the same way, she is following her body temperatures to see when the best time for her is to take the pill. Be very cautious, keep a record of your symptoms.

Also ask your doctor! Don't do any self-guided trials!
Your health and well-being is very important and should not be played around with.
Please take good care of yourself, be cautious and discuss with your doctor/endocrinologist!

A generic drug is identical, or bioequivalent to a brand name drug in dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics and intended use.

A generic drug must:
* contain the same active ingredients as the innovator drug(inactive ingredients may vary)
* be identical in strength, dosage form, and route of administration
* have the same use indications
* be bioequivalent
* meet the same batch requirements for identity, strength, purity, and quality
* be manufactured under the same strict standards of FDA's good manufacturing practice regulations required for innovator products

Most doctors will allow it, as there should be no differences between the generic and brand name drugs.

My wife is on it and the Dr. said to make sure you stay on the same brand! So generic is fine but make sure you get the same brand every time! (many generic brands)
