30 days ago I had sex with a girl, I wore a condom but stupidly only rolled it up 75%, not all the way on my penis. Today I woke up & I felt like I had the flu, I have excessive diarrhea, my neck lymphnodes are swollen, I feel neuaseated, I feel like there is a slight pressure in my throat when I swallow, I have a fever, & my lower back muscles are sore I am terrified that I may have HIV when I found out said symptoms occour 30 days after contracting the virus. I got tested a week ago but I'm still awaiting the results incredibly paranoid. What would the chances be of me contracting HIV in my sexual situation, & how accurate would my hiv test be? (They drew blood for the test)

Last first..the blood test is very accurate.
Its unlikely that you have aids, you're just being apranoid. Its more likely to be flu...hope its all clear when you get the results..;

Don't worry until you know what it is. I have been through nursing school and I also know that Herpes causes this on it's first outbreak. ALL of the symptoms you are saying. Is there a sore or an itchy spot? Unfortunatly, using a condom at all is not a sure fire way to keep from getting Herpes. An HIV test is very accurate, so you can rest assured the answer you get is right on... however, get retested in 6 months and then 6 months after that. Sometimes the HIV virus will not show up for awhile. Make sure you retest in 6 month increments for at least 2 years. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck to you, and next time, 100% that condom. There is nothing worth the risk.

First of all do not worry at all. I can give you some simple statistics that may help you realize that the chance of HIV is very small given your contact: if one has unprotected sex with a known hiv infected person the chance of catching infection is one in 400 hundred for each sex. You have protection (although you feel it was not perfect) and your partner seems not to be a known case of hiv positive person. So, you don't need to be worry about this.
Let this flue like condition go away and go for HIV test and expect a negative result for ELISA test. One negative ELISA is quite OK to ensure of no infection state.
You cannot differentiate simple flue from AIDS flue like condition however until you get tested for HIV.
Again, there is no reason to worry about HIV.

I doubt you have it, yet, the only thing is to pray and wait. If you find out that you don't have it, then next time you have sex have her tested and wait six months and have her test again. Once 'she's cleared, have sex with the women. This is the safest way to know you won't contract HIV if you want to have sex and not abstain. Oh yeah, make sure you know and trust the girl. P.S. the test is the most accurate 6months after you had sex with her.

It is probably just the flu and u stressing over the idea of hiv , when ur head thinks u have something ur body reacts in that way.
Unless this girl was a street walker (call girl, prostitute what ever u wanna call her) why do u think she has HIV any way??
Its good ur taking responsiblity for ur actions on the slight chance u did have it but regardless i think its unlikely.
Dont stress hon, and u'll be fine dont forgot hot soup for ur cold and lie in bed and watch dvd's, and let what be....be! Good Luck

It may just be a coincidence and you may simply have the flu or a cold. You still used a condom, and as long as you did not exchange any bodily fluids, you should be OK. There is a bad stomach virus going around right now, so you may just have that. I too have been feeling sick lately, and I know for sure it was not due to sexual contact.
