I think it would depend on how it was made, and what shape it was in. A big ball of really dense stuff would probably sink. But a ball of light whipped peanut butter would most likely float.

Go fill your sink with water and make sure it doesn't drain.
Drop a small blob of peanut butter into the sink full of water.
Watch what happens.
