see, i live with a very good elderly friend of mine... when i met my bf he used to come over almost every day and spend the night.. that was until my friend said she didn't want him coming over anymore! i'm 26 and my friend is 86... she's very mentally alert... my bf didn't do anything, but she said she didn't want him there anymore.. anyway, i pay her 40 dollars a week for rent, so she may feel i have no say! i suspect my bf is mad at me cuz he can't come over anymore... he didn't call me for a month and i finally picked up the phone and when i asked him what happened he said he's trying to find himself and he sounded glad to hear from me...he still lives with his parents .... i'm 4 yrs older than him.... what do you guys think of this whole situation... should i just let him go???/

Talk to your elderly friend about your need to have your own life. I'm sure for the cheap rate you are paying her you are also a great help/comfort for her but you need to be able to do your own thing too. If you can't come to a compromise then I suggest you move someplace else but continue to see your friend and help her as much as you can. Don't waste your youth. You are an adult and need to live like one.
