If you're having nosebleeds quite frequently or they're lasting for longer than 20-30 minutes and you can't get them to stop, you might have a deviated septum. In that case you can go to your doctor and he/she can cauterize the septum so that it won't cause nosebleeds in the future. It only takes a couple minutes and it doesn't hurt.

i'm not sure what you're asking

are you asking how you permanently stop nosebleeds from ever happening again,

or are you asking how to stop a nosebleed that you currently have?

or are you asking how to stop a nosebleed that you've had for a while or that you get frequent nosebleeds and want to stop them?

If the question is the first option, you can't--that's a silly thing to ask in the first place.

If the question is the second option, tilt your head forward, apply pressure to the bridge of your nose and a little below, and put ice on your nose. It should stop in a little bit.

If it's the third question, you need to see a doctor, as it could be a sign of a much more serious health problem.

If you are having recurring nose bleeds, then go to a doctor. There are tiny blood vessels inside the nose that are right on top back inside it a ways. I had to have mine cauterized because it would just suddenly start pouring blood at times with no warning. That was 10 years ago and I have never had a problem since.

There is no way to permanently do anything like that. If your nose is bleeding for an extended amount of time you should see a Dr. Most of the time they heal on there own, just roll up some toilet paper or tissue and gently wad it into your nostril.

Ohhh i know this one. Ummm...well honestly you have to go to the doctor and he will burn one of the veins that trigor the nerve system, which causes the bleeding. This then stops the nose from bleeding. I don't know how much it costs and I don't know if its painful..but it stops it permanently. However if that doesn't work out..just carry a pack of tissues.

To quote Police Cheif Wiggum talking about his son, Ralph,

"The doctor said he wouldn't have so many nosebleeds if he kept his finger outta there. If his nose starts to bleed, it means he's picking it too much, or not enough."
