Apple slices are ok, but I would try to use more vegetables than fruits. Dogs do not process the natural sugars in fruits as well as humans, and, when given in excess can cause problems. If you are giving apple slices, make sure you don't allow them to have the seeds (they are poisonous). Do not give your dog grapes or raisins, either, as these are also poisonous. Carrots, green beans, squash, pumpkin, and celery are all good vegetable snacks for dogs. Also avoid onions--they are poisonous as well.

It really depends on a lot of things. They require a ton of attention and they can be little monsters. But I don't think anyone can tell you if you can handle it. Only you know yourself and your family. I will tell you, the shedding is ridiculous! Get a furminator or a fur buster. I think huskies are good with kids. The backyard is superb. Since you are home all the time that is a major plus. P.S. When I get a house I want a mastiff and a husky at the same time. Maybe even a lab too. :-)

Peeled apple slices are great for dogs, as are carrots, raw or frozen broccoli, snap peas, green beans, and just about any other vegetable EXCEPT garlic and onions. I also would not feed corn. My chihuahua loves to eat a slice of apple or a baby carrot for a treat. You can feed them raw, steamed, microwaved...just about any way you please. Be careful not to feed too much though, as your dog may get gas or diarrhea. Also do not feed fruits or veggies that have added sugar or salt.

Some breeds can handle a little fruit and some can't.
Most veggies are OK.
I show and breed Chinese Cresteds and they are known for their love of fruit. I will sometimes give a little apple or watermelon.
Talk to your vet, they should have an idea of what is safe for a husky, or, contact a big husky club and ask them.

Apple popsicles are fine, as as are some fruits and vegetables. Apples are OK, but make sure you remove the seeds.
I'm adding a link to a list of food that you NEVER give your dog. If you want, you can print it out and keep it on your fridge:-)

I had a blue heeler that got us kids in trouble...folks liked to do home canning and would buy a case of fruit at a time to process. Peaches and tomato's kept turning up missing and we were blamed for it, till finally one of us saw Lucky carefully sneak up and steal a tomato from the case and sneak off to the back porch....got the folks and we all quietly peeked around the corner and she was just finishing it off...leaving only the skin....never seemed to hurt her and both are fruits...so whatever the dog wants in that line I would guess would be OK.

Veggies are okay to give... My black lab gets frozen veggies added to his food twice a day.. He really likes brussel sprouts, chopped broccoli, carrots and chopped spinach.. He also get carrots as treats instead of biscuits.. He has lost weight also.. Which is a very good thing..
Apples are ok as long as they have no skin and no seeds.. Just double check.. There are other fruits out there that are harmful to dogs..

Yes, fruits and veggies are fine for dogs. Don't give him any kind of seed that he might choke on though (for instance peach pits). And make the pieces small enough that puppy won't choke, too.

If your dog will eat carrots and potatoes, these are good, healthy treats. Apples are probably okay.
Consult your vet for a complete list, some things are poisonous--raw onion for one.
