Olympus [mju]400 Camera, when looking at the result on the screen, and zoom in to cut out unnecessary detail,?

how do you fix this perminantly so that you can print just that detail.

On the screen where you can view your photographs, open up the options menu and there should hopefully be a trim set option, use this and you can crop your photo.
