Set the timer to two minutes. Start the hourglass and the timer at the same time. When the timer dings after two minutes have elapsed you will have three minutes remaining in the hourglass to time your egg.

First just boil the water and throw the egg in and go with instinct! Use the oven timer and set for 3 minutes.

before you start cooking the egg, flip both timers, and then when the two minute timer runs out, you stop the other one as well. Whatever is left in the hourglass after two minutes will be equal to three minutes

Do you have a timer for your oven on your stove. Know the buzzer. Put your eggs in cold water, let the water come to a boil, then set the timer for 3 mins. Pretty accurate.

Have you ever seen the commercial that shows an egg and states "this is your brain", and then shows an egg getting cracked into a sizzling frying pan and states "this is your brain on drugs"?
Any questions?
